Spanish Style Pearled Sorghum Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ori Sorgho Market’s Pearled Sorghum Grain
    ¼ cup Onion, chopped
    ½ cup Green Bell Pepper, chopped
    14 oz Diced Tomatoes, canned
    ½ tbsp Salt
    ¾ tsp Cumin
    ½ tbsp Garlic Powder
    4 cups Water

Instructions

  1. In a large sauce pan bring water to a boil. In a small bowl drain the tomatoes and reserve the juice. Once the water is boiling add Ori Sorgho Market’s sorghum grain, bell peppers, onions, diced tomatoes, salt, garlic powder, and cumin. Bring the mixture back to a boil. Once boiling again, mix in the reserved tomato juice. Cover and reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and let sit for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
